Tax Tuesday (my political comment of the day)
Today is your last day to do your French tax, unless you use the internet process or if you are a special one (doctor, lawyer ...). I tried to use the internet document but, of course it did not work because their website is crap and not really helpful.
As France went back to all pink after last Sunday local election as a "protest vote" against the power in place (For non-French readers, the reference to Pink means that the socialists won and not that all French people changed their sexual orientation) , I can't help but wonder about French politics.
in the US, people are used to take care about their own business : paying for their healthcare, saving for their retirement, paying for their education ....
In France, it's almost the opposite which is why taxes are important. As the government in place is in the process of changing everything (with the famous reforms) and "trying" to turn to a Anglo-Saxon liberal model, I wonder what will become the French society in 20 years.
If they remove everything that has made the country so "livable" and keep low uncompetitive wages, I 'll get of here again sooner than later !!!!
The new Google
If you read my blog (this is not a test), you all know that I really like Google.
Since midnight, Google has evolved.
They added Froogle, which allows you to search for items and prices.
Here are some options you can use with google.
Check out Google labs where you can you find their more advanced stuff in beta version. I especially like Google Set which allows you to creates random sets from a small set of things.
I said I like to ask Google questions. Now you can pay Google to answer your questions better. You can pay Google to do your work and set the price for it !!!
Voila. Enjooooooy.

Marc Riboud Rocks
For those of you who have the chance to be in Paris right now, go check the Marc Riboud exhibit at "la Maison Europeene de la photographie", 50 years of photos. It was really astonishing and I really appreciated the museum (located in "Le Marais").
Here 's his most famous picture (from 1953). Voila, that was my cultural tip of the week.
Noam's blog
For those who are tired about reading blogs that deal with deep sea fish, you can check out the new blog from political activist/ linguistic professor Noam Chomsky here.
I like his style and he I think he deserves to be mentioned here.
